Swiss Under 15 XI team announced for 4-nation tournament in Denmark

After careful deliberation by the Under 15 club coaches the following players have been chosen to represent Switzerland’s Under 15 XI.

Congratulations to all those selected. They have deserved their places in a team that shows great promise and depth despite the fact that several players will be absent from the team due to the holiday period. Many thanks too to all those who put their names forward but were not selected this time.

The tournament scheduled for late July (21st-25th) in Denmark has been extended to include Luxembourg. Switzerland will now play three days of 40-over matches against Holland, Luxembourg and hosts Denmark. This will be followed by two days of T20 cricket between the four nations.

The five days of cricket, during which the team will play six matches, promises to be demanding on these young cricketers and fitness will no doubt also play a key role. However, the players are already going through a busy programme of indoor matches and tournaments, with matches taking place around the country almost every week at the moment. Two outdoor practice matches are also planned for the team, one at Cossonay on May 10th and another in Winterthur on July 12th.
